The ALA Store ships products via FedEx or UPS Ground unless customer requests otherwise. For information on international orders, please view our international orders page. UPS does not ship to P.O. boxes. If a street address is unavailable, items can be shipped to P.O. Boxes by First Class/Priority Mail for the same shipping and handling charge. These shipments are not insured, and the ALA cannot be held responsible for lost or misplaced orders. Below is the schedule of shipping and handling charges for the ALA Store:

$25 to $49.99 = $11
$50 to $99.99 = $12
$100 to $149.99 = $15
$150 to $199.99 = $20
$200 to $999.99 = 11% of actual total

ALA collects sales tax on all taxable orders. If you are tax-exempt, please see Tax Exemption section.
If you choose to order online and are tax exempt, please upload your tax exemption documentation to your account. Your tax exemption certificate must match the name and address on your order. Please go to My Account, select the tab Edit My Profile, scroll to the section Tax Exemption, upload your tax exemption certificate (a PDF is preferred), enter your tax exempt number, and click Save at the bottom of the screen. Upon completion of your upload, you will notice your tax exemption status will state Pending. Please allow our ALA Store customer service up to 48 hours to verify and approve your tax exemption. Once approved, your tax exempt status for online orders will remain in effect until the expiration date shown on the tax exempt certificate.
