Sue McCleaf Nespeca

Sue McCleaf Nespeca heads Kid Lit Plus Consulting, providing speeches, training, and consulting to librarians, teachers, and early childhood educators in the areas of children's literature, early literacy, family literacy, and library services to youth. She provides ongoing youth services consulting for the Northwest Library District in Bowling Green, Ohio, and NOLA Regional Library System in Warren, Ohio. She is an adjunct instructor at Kent State University's School of Library and Information Science and Syracus University's School of Information Studies. Nespeca, a speaker at more than 200 U.S. workshops and conferences, has written several journal articles and publications, including the book Library Programming for Families with Young Children (Neal-Shuman, 1994). Active in the Association for Library Service to children, she was the first recipient of the Bechtel Fellowship. Nespeca has a master's degree in education in early childhood (Kent State) and a master's decree in library science (University of Pittsburgh).
