Ellen Finnie Duranceau

Ellen Finnie Duranceau is the program manager for MIT Libraries' Office of Scholarly Publishing and Licensing, a position she has held since 2006. She leads the MIT Libraries' outreach efforts to faculty in support of scholarly publication reform and open access activities at MIT, including overseeing implementation of the MIT Faculty Open Access Policy. In addition, she acts as the libraries' chief internal resource for copyright issues and for content licensing policy and negotiations. She has written and spoken widely on digital acquisitions, repositories, licensing, and open access. Twice a year, combining her work and personal passions, she organizes an exam-week stress relief therapy dog event in the MIT Libraries.
