Stephanie Gerding

Stephanie Gerding is a library consultant with 20 years of experience supporting libraries and nonprofits. She has success in all areas of grant work as a reviewer, writer, trainer, project manager, and consultant. She has been a lead grant reviewer of LSTA grants, state grants, and scholarships at the Arizona State Library and New Mexico State Library, and she has reviewed grants and serves as an advisor for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She has been awarded national grants and has been a program coordinator for many grant-funded projects. Recent projects include project management for the IMLS/Gates grant-funded Continuing Education Connector project led by the Chief Officers of State Libraries (COSLA); evaluation of the LSTA-funded Infopeople Eureka! Leadership program; training needs assessments for state and national organizations. She is a trainer for the PLA's national advocacy project, Turning the Page 2.0, Project Outcome, and developed the 2016 Dynamic Planning Institute. She has done consulting and training with TechSoup, PLA, and the Urban Libraries Council on the library technology benchmarking Edge Initiative. She leads webinars and online courses through Infopeople, PLA, NEFLIN (Northeast Florida Library Information Network), PCI Webinars, and other library organizations. She is a board member for ALA's Learning Round Table. She is author of three books, including The Accidental Technology Trainer.
