Renee J. Vaillancourt

Rene J. Vaillancourt is the assistant director of the Missoula Public Library in Montana. She received her M.S.L.S. at the Catholic University of America, where she was awarded a U.S. Department of Education scholarship for young adult services. She has worked with teenagers in public libraries in Rhode Island and Indiana. A YALSA member since 1992, Ren̩e has served on the Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers and Youth Participation committees. She has published articles on young adult services in VOYA and School Library Journal and has presented numerous programs and workshops as a YALSA Serving the Underserved trainer.
