Maria Sosa

Maria Sosa is the editor-in-chief of SB&F, the review journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). She manages the publication staff of the Directorate for Education and Human Resources programs at AAAS and directs the Science + Literacy for Health Project. Maria received her master's degree in education teaching of English from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a bachelor's degree in humanities from Shimer College. Before coming to AAAS, Maria was an award-winning software and audiovisual writer/producer as well as a writer and editor of educational print materials. Since coming to AAAS, she has conducted a number of workshops for librarians and educators at national meetings and represents AAAS at national and local meetings of community-based organizations and professional scientific associations. She also is the editor of a monograph on children's science books.
