Almost Home: My Life Story

Comedian. Actress. Author. Social activist. Avid reader. All describe the multi-talented Margaret Cho. According to the New York Times, Cho is “Brilliant. One of the funniest comedians in America.” While growing up in San Francisco, the daughter of Korean immigrants, she began performing stand-up at age 16. By the time she was in her twenties, she starred in All-American Girl, the first Asian American sitcom, and her acclaimed off Broadway one-woman show, I’m The One That I Want. Another show, Revolution, was nominated for a 2003 Grammy for Best Comedy Album. Cho continues to write and perform in addition to promoting a number of social issues.
