Can I take my baby to the library? Even though many libraries are working to encourage families with infants by planning infant-friendly programs and spaces, families with babies still sometimes don’t realize the library can be a destination for them. Join members of ALSC’s Early Childhood Programs and Services Committee as we share ideas and tips for developing baby-friendly library experiences. Topics will include marketing strategies, family-friendly policies and areas, and helping non-youth staff understand babies.

Participants will:

  • Discover marketing strategies to promote library services for families with babies.
  • Discuss what library family-friendly policies look like.
  • Explore communication strategies to engage non-youth services library staff in the importance of advocating for library services for babies.

Please note: Your purchase at the ALA Store is only Step 1 of a 2-Step Registration process!
