Kara Fennell Walker

Kara Fennell Walker is the Head of Youth Services with the Geauga County Public Library in Ohio. She has worked as a children's librarian in public libraries for over fifteen years and is currently serving as a member of ALSC's Early Childhood Programs and Services committee. Her area of expertise is providing library services to children from birth to age five, creating family programs, and developing new community outreach. When not in working with children and their families at the library, Kara can be found at home wrangling her own two kiddos, ages one and four.

Kristen Rocha

Kristen Rocha is the New York Public Library's Manager of Early Childhood Education. She supervises early childhood educational programming across NYPL's 89 branch libraries, which includes developing programs and staff training, and managing community partnerships with organizations like the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Mayor's Office. Kristen has over five years of experience designing and implementing educational programs in museums and libraries. Prior to joining the NYPL she created and delivered outreach programming for the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. When not working with children and their families at the library, Kristen can be found swing dancing, or training her new puppy! Kristen is a new member of ALSC's Early Childhood Services and Programs Committee.

Brooke Sheets

Brooke Sheets is the Senior Librarian for the Children's Literature Department of the Los Angeles Public Library. She has been a children's librarian for over 10 years, and is a member of the California Library Association, the American Library Association and several of its divisions. She is currently serving as a member of ALSC's Early Childhood Programs and Services committee.
