Deborah Raftus

Deborah Raftus is the Librarian for French and Italian Studies, Spanish and Portuguese Studies, and Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle. She actively participates in ACRL’s European Studies Section, SALALM (the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials), and CIFNAL, the Collaborative Initiative for French Language Collections. She also supervises MLIS graduate student workers and co-coordinates a comprehensive training program on reference and instruction services at UW Libraries. In 2016, Deb and her colleagues were awarded the ACRL-Washington Excellence Award for the program’s significant impact on Washington State academic librarianship.
