Daveed Diggs burst onto the New York theatre scene with his Tony-winning performance in the dual roles of ‘Thomas Jefferson’ and ‘Marquis de Lafayette’ in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway sensation, Hamilton. Before originating these roles, Daveed was already well-respected in the underground hip-hop scene as the vocalist of the West Coast-based experimental trio “clipping.” Daveed has also starred in several TV series including Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, ABC’s Blackish, and HBO’s Tour De Pharmacy.
Daveed starred as Mr. Browne, opposite Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, and Jacob Tremblay in Lionsgate’s feature film, WONDER. Based on R.J. Palacio’s New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time.
