Curious Read CD
The Curious George Reading Program is a flexible, customizable program that can be used to introduce simple activities that have been proven to be successful in helping children become ready-to-read. You can use the ideas and resources for a Read With Me or an Early Reader program any time of the year. The CD includes an extensive 50-page program guide and toolkit (press release, letters, PSAs, etc.) developed by members of the ALSC Summer Reading Committee and the PLA/ALSC Early Literacy Task Force.
Digital art files include ready-to-print and customizable promotional materials (posters and bookmarks), program resources (gameboard, activity sheets, and certificates), and incentives (stickers, buttons, doorknob hangers, and bumper stickers). Most files are available in Spanish as well as English. Use the files in-house, or give to your designer and printer for high-quality products in the quantities you need and at the price you can afford.
"A valuable asset to libraries and schools pursuing youth reading programs. Great for summer reading programs."
--Lydia Bassett, Program Officer, Literacy and Community Programs, Humanities Washington
