Creating Interactive Storytimes with Music, Play, and More Workshop
A 90-minute workshop, Wednesday, August 28, 2019, 2:30pm Eastern/1:30 Central/12:30 Mountain/11:30am Pacific

Get kids moving during your program events, regardless of your level of experience with music or movement activities! Unlike traditional storytime models in which children are expected to sit quietly, music and movement storytimes encourage children to embody concepts and interact with others. In this workshop, expert children’s programmer Alyssa Jewell shows you how you can develop interactive learning experiences in which children engage in moving, music-making, and story drama.

By participating in this event, you will:

  • Learn how to design music and movement storytimes that anyone can implement, regardless of your experience with music or movement activities.
  • Learn practical tips for leading storytimes that smooth tough transitions and curb chaos.
  • Gain valuable advice for material selection that will take your storytimes to the next level.
  • Discover game-changing books, children’s musicians, and professional resources that you can immediately use in your programs.

While completing your purchase, fill in the name and e-mail address of the group leader who will sign in to the event by clicking the "Attendees" button to the right of the item in your cart. This individual will receive an e-mail from WebEx confirming registration before the event begins. Attendees should add messenger@webex.com to their approved email sender list, so they can ensure that they receive the automatic notifications.

This is an online event hosted through WebEx. Further technical information is available at the ALA Store FAQ page.
