Christina J. Zamon

In October 2007, Christina J. Zamon became the Head of Archives and Special Collections for Emerson College in Boston, MA. Before her arrival at Emerson College, she worked as the archivist for the National Press Club from 2004 to 2007.

Prior to receiving her MA/MLS from the University of Maryland, Christina worked as the Cataloging Assistant for Retrospective Conversion at the Frick Art Reference Library in New York City. During her time at the Frick, Christina cataloged several thousand art auction catalogs in the library's online database.

In 2000, Christina moved to Washington, DC to continue her education at the University of Maryland. She became an Acquisitions Assistant at the Folger Shakespeare Library and worked closely with the Head of Acquisitions to procure rare books and manuscripts for the library. After beginning work on a duel master's degree in Library Science and History, Christina took a position as the graduate assistant for the Brittle Materials Unit in the Preservation Department at the University of Maryland from 2002 to 2004.

During her career in special collections and archives, Christina has served as the Secretary for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference from 2006-2007 and on the steering committee and as Chair for the Lone Arrangers Roundtable. Christina is also active in several other Roundtables and Sections of SAA and is also an active member of the New England Archivists. In addition to serving in professional organizations, Christina is the co-founder of the original Lone Arrangers social networking site on Ning and now Big Tent.
