You know the fundamental law of fundraising: people give money to people.

So where does the Web fit in? The answer is: Everywhere. Fundraising and Friend-Raising on the Web shows you how to weave a Web strategy—whether you’re a small library with a fledging friends group, or already have a structure in place for major development campaigns.

Adam Corson-Finnerty and Laura Blanchard, innovators from the Development Office of the University of Pennsylvania Libraries, share resources, strategies from nonprofit fundraisers of all types, and advice on such topics as:
  • donor recognition on cyberspace;

  • future prospects for collecting micro-donations with digital cash; and

  • learning from pioneering Web fundraisers.

The Web-enabled CD-ROM for Macintosh and Windows shows in-depth examples and links you to live fundraising sites.
