Five Reasons to Invite the Whole Family to Storytime:
  1. Adults enjoy being read to (even if they may not admit it).

  2. Parents and caregivers learn techniques for reading to children at home.

  3. Parents network with each other, creating a sense of community in your library.

  4. Teens interested in drama, literature, or early childhood education can perform.

  5. It’s more fun!

Author Rob Reid’s highly participative, “family-tested” material is organized by theme, with each of the twenty-four programs running about thirty minutes. Included are songs, picture book suggestions, poems, fingerplays, as well as a “Mix and Match” section to help you customize new programs around the same theme.

Invite the whole family to the library and let the fun begin!
